Bethany Geoghegan: Solo Violin

Bethany began violin with the Music Service when she was six and joined the youth orchestra in 2012. She was leader of the seconds from 2014-2015 and was made leader of the orchestra at the beginning of this year. Bethany is a member of a number of Music Service ensembles, including the East Sussex Youth Orchestra, and has also led the East Sussex String Chamber Orchestra. She was a member of the 2016 National Youth String Orchestra which played in a number of prestigious festivals, including the Three Choirs Festival in Cirencester. She currently helps out with the Telemann Silver Junior violin group on a saturday. Bethany has been taught by Sarah Nolan and Maeve Jenkinson, is studying her final year of A Levels this year and will go on to the Royal Northern College of Music in September, to be taught by Yossi Zivoni.
